The Finance Council assists the Pastor in the sound administration and governance of Parish funds to ensure all financial obligations are met in a timely manner. Under guidelines issued by the Diocese of Raleigh, the Finance Council is responsible for the preparation and oversight of the Parish operating budget. Monthly and annual financial reports are prepared for both the Diocese and the Pastoral Council.

The Finance Council also sponsors periodic “Internal Control Reviews” which examine Parish financial procedures and record keeping to assure compliance with Diocesan guidelines.  Additionally, the Finance Council coordinates the Bishop’s Annual Appeal (BAA) which takes place in the Parish each Spring.  The BAA campaign helps to sustain and expand ministries in 89 parishes, schools and agencies throughout the Diocese of Raleigh in a continuing effort to help those who are less fortunate.
