Castle Hayne, NC

Chairperson: Rae Kudro

When we gather at Saint Stanislaus Church in His name, we encounter God in the proclamation of the Word of God. The person doing the proclaiming is an Official Church Minister. There are certain guidelines that have been set forth to govern the Readers.

In the past, God spoke through His Prophets, Evangelists, and Apostles. Today He needs us - you and me - to speak for Him.

If you are willing to bring God into the assembly through the words you are asked to read . . .

If you are willing to acquire the skills necessary for proclaiming the Word . . .

If you can spend time with the selections you are asked to read . . .

If you are willing to turn to your Bible and read the verses preceding and following the selections for that Sunday or feast day . . .

Then please sign up for the Ministry of Lector. We have for your use Handbook For Lectors, by Peter P. Genera and the Workbook for Lectors and Gospel Readers by Susan E. Myers.
